We will bill your insurance company as a courtesy, but it is your responsibility to understand the details and coverage of your dental plan, and to advise our office of any changes as soon as possible. Our office will bill all PPO (preferred provider organization) insurances but please be aware that we are not on any insurance plans as preferred or network providers. Therefore, your coverage that you may get within your network may be different than your coverage with us. If you have an HMO (health maintenance organization) or a DMO (dental maintenance organization) insurance plan you must go to a dentist on a list of dental providers supplied by your employer or insurance company. Please know that the amount a plan covers is determined by the plan your employer selected.
Dental insurance can be a great benefit for many patients and we want you to know we will do everything we can to ensure that you utilize your maximum amount of benefits. However, our recommendations and the fees we charge will be based on your treatment needs, not your insurance coverage. The ultimate decision as to what will be done and how fast we proceed will always be made by you. Based on your decision, we will discuss the total cost of treatment and what approximate benefits you can expect from your dental insurance.
